Human Chain for Iran — Commercial Bay – 13 June 2026

Join us, as we form a human chain in Commercial Bay to stand with the people of Iran.
As the world’s attention turns to the FIFA World Cup, we are gathering to make sure the suffering of Iranians is not hidden behind football, flags, and political spectacle. This event is not about division between ordinary people or athletes. It is about refusing to let the Islamic Republic use international sport to cover up executions, repression, mass arrests, and the silencing of Iranian voices.
We will stand together peacefully, holding the Lion and Sun flag and calling for the world to recognise the difference between Iran and the Islamic Republic regime.
This human chain is a message of solidarity with political prisoners, protesters, victims’ families, women, students, workers, athletes, and all Iranians who continue to fight for freedom and dignity.

Let’s show that Auckland has not forgotten Iran.
