About Us

Iranian Community of New Zealand is a community-led platform created to connect, support, and represent Iranians living in New Zealand.

We bring people together through cultural events, public gatherings, community initiatives, and advocacy efforts that reflect the values of freedom, dignity, human rights, and democratic participation.

Our community includes Iranians from different backgrounds, generations, beliefs, and experiences. What connects us is a shared commitment to preserving Iranian culture, supporting one another in New Zealand, and standing with the people of Iran in their struggle for freedom and justice.

Our Purpose

We aim to create a stronger, more visible, and more connected Iranian community across New Zealand.

Our work focuses on three main areas:

Community Connection

We organise events and gatherings that help Iranians and friends of Iran connect, build relationships, and support each other. These include cultural events, social gatherings, public discussions, and community activities.

Culture and Identity

We celebrate Iranian culture, language, history, art, music, and traditions. We believe preserving and sharing our cultural identity is an important part of building a confident and united community in New Zealand.

Advocacy and Awareness

We raise awareness about the situation in Iran and support the voices of those calling for freedom, human rights, democracy, and justice. Through rallies, public events, and community campaigns, we stand in solidarity with the people of Iran.

What We Stand For

We stand for freedom, human dignity, equality, secular democracy, human rights, and the right of the Iranian people to determine their own future.

We oppose oppression, censorship, executions, discrimination, and violence against people who seek basic rights and freedoms.

Our activities in New Zealand are peaceful, community-based, and focused on awareness, solidarity, and civic participation.
