Mahsa Amini Commemorate Rally – Auckland – Sunday 19 September 2026

On 19 September, the Iranian community and supporters of freedom will gather in Auckland to commemorate Mahsa Amini, whose death in the custody of the Islamic Republic became a defining symbol of resistance against oppression in Iran.
Mahsa was not an isolated victim. For decades, Iranians have faced state violence, imprisonment, executions and repression for demanding basic freedoms and a better future. Her name became inseparable from the uprising that followed her death — but the movement for freedom did not begin with Mahsa, and it did not end with Woman, Life, Freedom.
From “Woman, Life, Freedom” to today’s national movement for a free and democratic Iran under the Lion and Sun, the struggle continues.
Join us as we march together through central Auckland to honour those who have lost their lives, stand with those still resisting inside Iran, and make one message clear:
The people of Iran have not given up. The path to freedom continues.
